7 Delicious Holiday Party Appetizers (+ 1 Fun Cocktail)

December 9, 2018 by Megan Porta Leave a Comment

What a wonderful time of year when family, friends and co-workers spend time together, enjoying each others company and food is usually found at the center of the gatherings. Here are some delicious and fun appetizers to spruce up what you bring. Try something new to share this year!

Pine Cone Cheese Ball with Almonds

Cheese is always a win! Dill weed spruces up the cheese so wonderfully too. Plus, I love how beautiful this looks with the almonds garnishing it before anyone has dug into it. This definitely will wow at a gathering – great idea Living Locurto!

Deep Fried Olives

I love a good salty olive. And here in MN we’re known for our deep fried anything, especially at the annual MN Get Together, our State Fair. So I’m game for taking on the recipe from the Wanderlust Kitchen and enjoying popping a few into my mouth!

Sundried Tomato Polenta Bites

What’s more fun than bite sized appetizers that you can pop in your mouth at a party? Polenta, or thick cornmeal, is lightly fried and served with a little pesto and sundried tomatoes. Super yum! The Recipe Girl will give you the details on this fun party recipe!

Brown Sugar Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Sweet and savory with a kick are perfect for a gathering! These babies from Spend With Pennies are easy to make and bake in just 20 minutes!

Parmesan Cheddar Basil Bites

Just a little cheesy bite with some basil mixed in from Life Love Liz. They sound amazing and it’s perfect, avoid the carb overload and just enjoy cheese! Perfect to help get in as many appetizers in as possible. Possibly, 2 or 3 of just these bites.

Sweet and Spicy Cocktail Meatballs

Meatballs need flavor and spice to be really good. This has both and they are a compliment to all the carb-happy appetizers you tend to find on the spread. The Cookie Rookie makes it easy to put together this cranberry meatball recipe for all the guests.

Puff Pastry Sausage Rolls

Nothing ever stuffed into a puff pastry is truly a bad idea. This recipe from Cooking With Curls takes a delicious sausage mixture and wraps it up into a puff pastry then bakes it. It’s all mixed and baked in just 30 minutes – great for the hostess and the guests!

Mistletoe Cocktail

This is a festive looking drink and it can be prepared both with alcohol or just with a little festive sprite. Having a delicious cocktail that helps create an ambiance is a great idea to help everyone relax and let the merriness of the holidays take over! This Lil Piglet guides you to become your very own bartender in putting together a fun drink for everyone.
