STEP 1

Make sure you have an apple peeler/slicer - makes this step SO easy! Place them in lemon water while you prepare the rest so they don't brown.

STEP 2

Be sure to pat dry the apples. A square baking dish works great for this dessert. Enjoy the smell of wafting cinnamon as you put together the filling!

STEP 3

Place the apples in a single layer in the prepared baking dish. Top with the sugar mixture.

STEP 4

Bake uncovered 30 minutes. Serve immediately! Delicious with ice cream or salted caramel drizzled on top.

TIP

Use this as a quick and easy pie filling, too! If you are excited to make apple empanadas, or mini pies, this is a great filling too.
