This baked breakfast is ridiculously tasty. Think apple pie for breakfast but without the guilt of indulging in dessert for the first meal of the day. With syrup.

– Bread – Eggs – Milk – Vanilla – Sugar – Apples – Lemon juice – Brown sugar – Butter – Cinnamon – Nutmeg

There's no right or wrong type of bread for this french toast. Use something day old and what you have on hand. Cut it up into bite sized pieces and place it in the baking dish. 

Mix together in a bowl the eggs, vanilla, milk and sugar. Pour it over the bread. 

Slice up the apples and combine the seasonings in the bowl, mix to flavor it up. Add this to the milk egg mixture and shove some into the nooks and crannies. 

You can now cover this dish and bake later or in the morning OR bake it up! Serve with syrup and or powdered sugar, even some caramel drizzled over top. 

This is the perfect mother's day brunch recipe or a fun weekend dish with the family. Prep it the night before and bake in the morning.
