Pretzel Bites  with ham & cheese

This delicious homemade pretzel bites recipe is the PERFECT party or game day food! Don’t be intimidated by the cooking process. It’s way easier than it looks! You will not be disappointed.

INGREDIENTS

-- Brown sugar -- Warm milk -- All-purporse flour -- Instant dry yeast -- Ham -- Mozzarella cheese -- water -- Baking soda -- Unsalted butter -- Coarse kosher salt

Prepare the dough. Let it rise until it doubles in size.

Roll out the dough. Then layer on the mozzarella and ham. Starting with the long edge, tightly roll up the dough into a log.

STEP 3

Cut the dough into 12 equal pieces, place them on a baking sheet and let them rise 30 minutes.

STEP 4

Boil water and add baking soda. Boil the pretzel bites for about 20 seconds each.

STEP 5

Bake the pretzel bites about 15 minutes and then brush them with melted butter and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.

TIP

Any melting cheese works great. Mozzarella, cheddar or provolone are all delicious options.
