This is my favorite way to prepare and enjoy fresh green beans! Just 4 ingredients required to make oven roasted green beans and share a perfect, healthy side dish with your meal. This recipe is easy to make and you can't imagine how delicious it is! Great for holidays or weeknight meals.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil and coat with cooking spray.
In a large bowl, combine the green beans, olive oil, Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper. Mix well and pour into a single layer onto the prepared baking sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, stirring/flipping the green beans halfway through. Serve warm.
Notes
Add 3 or 4 minced garlic cloves to the ingredients before adding to the oven. Be careful that it doesn't burn! If you don't have any on hand, toss in a teaspoon of garlic powder.
I often use coarse sea salt and fresh cracked pepper - it's delicious! A dash of red pepper flakes is amazing if you like a bit of spice!
Canned or frozen green beans will work if you don't have garden fresh on hand.
For an extra indulgent recipe, throw a few french fried onions or panko bread crumbs on top of the green beans when roasting for a delicious crunch!
Throw in a little chopped bacon to kick the flavor up a notch.
If you are following Whole30 meal program, omit the Parmesan cheese.
