  • 3 ice cubes
  • 1.5 oz. vodka
  • 1.5 oz. watermelon vodka liqueur
  • juice from half of a lime
  • 1/4 cups watermelon juice
  • Sprite and ruby red grapefruit juice optional, for splashing
  • Lime wedges and watermelon chunks for garnish

Instructions

  • Add vodkas, watermelon juice and lime juice to a cocktail shaker along with 3 ice cubes. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds and divide between 2 martini glasses.
  • Top each glass with a splash of Sprite or 7up, as well as a splash of ruby red grapefruit juice (optional). Garnish with lime wedges and watermelon chunks.

Notes

Both sugar and salt taste great on the rim of your chilled martini glass.
If you have extra watermelon, freeze it! Frozen watermelon is a great summer snack. It can also act as an ice cube to chill any beverage.
Make your own simple syrup by combining sugar and water OR make a honey simple syrup!
