  • 1/2 cup butter cut in chunks
  • 1 pint heavy whipping cream
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese

  • In a medium saucepan, melt butter, heavy cream and cream cheese over medium heat. Bring to a boil and reduce to simmer. Simmer for 2 minutes and add the garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper and Parmesan.
  • Whisk until mixture is creamy. Add to favorite dish or let cool and pour into sealed containers.

I looooooove garlic, you guys, and personally feel like you could add garlic in larger quantities if that is your thing. If you are not a massive garlic lover like myself, keep the recipe as it is! If you're a garlic addict, use 3 or 4 cloves instead of the 2 cloves listed in the recipe card.
If at all possible, use fresh Parmesan cheese! I know it's so easy to open that green bottle from the fridge, but the flavor will be greatly enhanced when you go fresh. Purchase a wedge of Parmesan cheese and grate it. Don't let it sit long before you add the Parmesan to the recipe.
