2cupssemi-sweet chocolate chipsor chunks or a mixture of both
Vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup for toppingif desired
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and coat a cast-iron skillet with cooking spray. Using a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment (or a large mixing bowl with a hand mixer), combine the butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla extract. Beat on medium speed until creamy and free of lumps.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and salt. Mix well. Gradually add to the butter-sugar mixture and beat on medium speed until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips/chunks.
Spread the batter in an even layer inside the prepared cast iron pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until edges are golden brown and center is cooked through. Top with ice cream and chocolate syrup and serve!
