Switch up the standard margarita by replacing sweet and sour mix with fresh citrus juice. This grapefruit margaritas recipe is refreshing, delicious and perfect for spring or summer!
In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 ice cubes along with tequila, Grand Marnier, grapefruit and lime juice.
Shake well and serve on the rocks or with no ice. Garnish with lime wedges, if desired.
Notes
If you don’t have a cocktail shaker, use two plastic cups that fit snugly opening to opening. We like to shake our margaritas to ensure the ingredients get mixed together thoroughly.
The tastiest orange liqueur to use for this drink is Grand Marnier, but Triple Sec and Cointreau work well, too.
Use crushed ice and salt-rimmed glasses for an extra fun and yummy drink.
This recipe will make enough for 1 perfect beverage, but feel free to quadruple the recipe to make a large pitcher to share!
Any variety of grapefruit tastes great for this yummy beverage, but pink grapefruit juice is our favorite.
