STEP 1

Getting the crust  started, combining the  dry ingredients. Once you add the melted butter, you want fine crumbs to form.

The filling is going to be delicious! Get all the ingredients into the saucepan and melt until thickened, about 7 minutes.

STEP 3

You're going to add the cream and let the sauce get to 240 degrees. I highly recommend a quality thermometer like mine!

STEP 4

Once you pour the caramel sauce over the crust, be sure it['s evenly spread. Bake it and then allow it to cool completely!

For best results, line the baking pan with parchment paper or lightly greased foil, then gently pull up by that to transfer to a cutting board.

To turn this into a chocolatey treat, add a layer of chocolate  chips over the layer  of caramel just before baking.
