Leftover Chili makes excellent chili mac and cheese!

WHY MAKE THIS RECIPE?
This recipe is a delicious way to use up leftover chili for a marriage of two of the most comforting comfort foods of all time.
INGREDIENTS
5 cups leftover chili 1 1/2 c elbow macaroni 1 c shredded cheddar cheese 2 tbsp butter 4 tbsp sour cream (for topping, if desired)
STEP 1
Heat the chili on the stovetop in a large saucepan.
STEP 2
In a large saucepan, cook pasta and cook 2 minutes shy of al dente.
STEP 3
Add pasta back to the saucepan. Add the cheese and butter and stir until melted.
Add the mac and cheese to the chili and give it a good stir.
STEP 4
Ladle into serving bowls immediately and top with sour cream, if desired.
STEP 5
Add chopped green pepper (bell or jalapeno) for an extra crunch.
