HAM BONE BEAN SOUP IN THE CROCKPOT

This ham bone bean soup recipe made with veggies and potatoes is the perfect way to use up your leftover holiday ham! Packed with many delicious flavors, your crock pot will do all the work for you.

– Ham bone – Russet potatoes – Carrots – Corn – Kidney beans – Diced potatoes – Chicken bouillon

Use a leftover carcass from your ham to turn it into the most flavorful, multi-textured, colorful, hearty soup.

Add the measured ingredients for the ham soup to the crockpot insert. Cook the meal on low for 8-9 hours.

Close to the end of the cook time (about an hour), remove the ham bone from the crockpot. Set it on a cutting board and let it cool, then shred any leftover meat, then add it back into the soup.

Don't have a ham bone? Replace it with up to 3 cups diced ham.

For a thinner consistency and less chunky soup, use a potato masher to break down the potatoes and veggies once you have removed the ham hock from the crockpo
