HOW TO ROAST BROCCOLI IN THE OVEN

Broccoli haters, listen up! I have good news for you. This might just be your new favorite vegetable. Once you learn how to roast broccoli in the oven, you will crave it constantly.

You will not be disappointed with this crispy roasted broccoli recipe.

It’s such an easy side dish, with just a few simple ingredients and a few minutes of prep required.

The green color means it’s packed with good stuff.

Use fresh broccoli for best results. Frozen broccoli will also work! There will be more moisture in the frozen florets, so stir a few times throughout the cooking process.

Go as crazy as you’d like with herbs and spices. Italian seasoning, cumin, cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes, oregano or basil are great dried seasonings to sprinkle over the top.

Arrange trimmed broccoli florets in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet. Drizzle olive oil over the top of the broccoli pieces. Season with a little salt and pepper and toss to coat.

Place the prepared baking sheet in the oven and roast broccoli, stirring halfway through or until tender and you see those golden brown edges. If you roast at 400, let it be in the oven 18-20 min.  If you roast at 375, let it stay in 25 min.

Sprinkling shaved or grated Parmesan cheese over the top before roasting adds a delicious touch.

A squeeze of fresh lemon juice just before serving is so delicious!
