STEP 1

Ground beef is mixed with cracker crumbs, ketchup, egg, garlic powder, & salt and pepper. Combine well but don't over mix - than make 8 patties.

STEP 2

Cook the patties in batches, searing them outside, for about 1.5 minutes each side. They will go into the crockpot when they are cooked.

STEP 3

To begin, add the mushrooms and onions to the bottom the crockpot.

STEP 4

Place the seared beef patties in a single layer  and sprinkle the gravy mix over tops of the patties. Pour the beef broth over the top and flip the patties over.

STEP 5

Cook 5-6 hours on low. To thicken the sauce, add cornstarch and water and stir. Let it cook an additional 30 minutes!

TIP

Be sure to sear the patties so you can help them stay in shape and keep the yummy flavors together before they go into the crock pot.

TIP

I recommend serving Salisbury Steak over top a starchy food, such as pasta, mashed potatoes or Instant Pot Rice.
