Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp paprika use smoked paprika for a smokier flavor
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp oregano

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients together in a small bowl and mix well. Pour into a sealed container and store at room temperature for up to a year.

Notes

  • Cayenne pepper is optional. Omit this ingredient for a mild seasoning.
  • Use smoked paprika in place of regular paprika for a smokier flavor.
  • If you know you will be using a lot of this, make a big batch! Double or even triple the recipe to have a ton on hand.
  • If you find this mixture is too salty for your taste, feel free to cut the salt, garlic powder and onion powder in half.
