Egg Bake Casserole  Recipe

WHY MAKE THIS RECIPE?

Simplify your meals during the busy holidays with a recipe that can feed many and that you can prep ahead! This egg bake also reheats perfectly!

-10 cups dry bread pieces -1 cup bacon -1 cup deli ham -1 cup sharp cheddar cheese -1 cup mozzarella cheese -1/4 cup green onions

INGREDIENTS

-8 oz mushrooms -1 yellow onion -1 red bell pepper -8 eggs -3 cups milk

INGREDIENTS

STEP 1

Heat the olive oil and add the mushrooms, onion, bell pepper, salt and pepper.

STEP 2

Beat the eggs in a bowl. Add the milk, veggie mixture, bacon, ham and cheddar cheese and stir until combined.

STEP 3

Add the dried bread pieces to the prepared pan in an even layer and pour the egg mixture over the top.

STEP 4

Make sure the egg and sauteed veggies are spread out evenly over the dried bread pieces.

STEP 5

Top with the cheddar cheese. Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight or until ready to bake.

TO SERVE

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Remove foil from the baking dish and bake 50 minutes Top with sliced green onions and serve!

RECIPE NOTE

Use ground sausage or ground beef for this recipe, or all of the above!

Replace bread pieces with gluten-free bread pieces or GF hash browns for a gluten-free breakfast!
