WHY MAKE THIS RECIPE?

Enjoy adding a Crockpot Green Bean Casserole to the holiday table spread! I recommend the slow cooker version of this tasty side dish. It is ridiculously easy to make and comes out tasting like holiday perfection.

INGREDIENTS

-3 14.5 oz can french style green beans -10.75 oz can cream of mushroom soup -1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce -1 tsp cayenne pepper -1/2 tsp salt & pepper -1 1/2 c shredded cheddar cheese -6 oz French-Fried onions

STEP 1

Coat a slow cooker generously with cooking spray or line with a crockpot liner.

STEP 2

Add the beans, soup, Worcestershire, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, pepper and cheese.

STEP 3

Gently stir ingredients, cover and cook on low heat for 2 hours.

Transfer to a serving dish and spread the onions over the top in a single layer.

STEP 4

Feel free to double the recipe! When cooking time is up, divide the mixture between two casserole dishes and top with onions as directed.

RECIPE NOTE

If fresh green beans are still available in your region, replace the canned beans in the recipe with 2 pounds of fresh, trimmed beans.
