WHY MAKE THIS RECIPE?
This easy cheese ball recipe is SO delicious and the most perfect party food! Three types of cheese, bacon and green onions are packed inside AND out.
CHEESE BALL 16 oz cream cheese 4 oz sour cream 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper 1 cup cheddar cheese 4 oz goat cheese crumbles 2 green onions
COATING 1/2 cup bacon 1 cup pecans 2 green onions
In a bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, Worcestershire, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
Using a mixer, mix until creamy. Add cheddar cheese, goat cheese, 1/2 cup bacon and 2 green onions until just combined.
Divide the mixture in half and place each half on a piece of plastic wrap.
Form into balls, wrapping the plastic wrap around them. Refrigerate for a minimum of 1 hour.
Just before serving, combine the 1/2 cup bacon, pecans and 2 green onions in a medium bowl. Pour in batches onto a rimmed plate.
Remove the cheese balls from the plastic wrap and roll them in the coating until thoroughly coated. Replenish plate as needed.
Place the cheese balls on a serving plate surrounded by crackers or veggies.
Serve this appetizer with a sturdy cracker or hefty veggies such as baby carrots.
For a different flavor, consider replacing the goat cheese with feta or blue cheese crumbles.
