Ingredients

  • 44 oz frozen meatballs
  • 18 oz apricot preserves
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker and mix well. Cover and cook on high heat for 2-3 hours, stirring a couple times throughout.
  • Serve warm as an appetizer with toothpicks!

Notes

  • This recipe makes a massive batch of tasty meatballs, feeding 12 hungry people at a party. Cut the recipe in half for a smaller gathering. Although, they are great as leftovers, as well. Throw them into a hearty salad or turn them into a meatball sub or add them to your spaghetti sauce.
  • To make this a gluten-free appetizer, omit or use a GF Worcestershire sauce and read the label on your package of meatballs to make sure it does not contain wheat.
  • Use an anchovy free Worcestershire if you are allergic to or avoid fish. Use a gluten free Worcestershire if you avoid or are allergic to wheat.
  • Make sure meatballs are fully cooked by checking the inside temp with a meat thermometer. Meatballs should cook to 165°F on the inside for safe consumption.
  • Switch up another flavor for the apricot jam.
  • Add some red pepper flakes to your jelly or preserves for a little heat with the sweet.
