Ingredients

  • 1 lb broccoli florets trimmed
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F. Spread florets in an even layer on a rimmed baking sheet. Drizzle 1 olive oil over the top, season with salt and pepper and toss to coat.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, stirring once halfway through, until the broccoli is tender and golden brown. Serve warm!

Notes

  • Add a few tablespoons of fresh minced garlic to the mix (or 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder), if desired.
  • Sprinkling shaved or grated Parmesan cheese over the top before roasting adds a delicious touch.
  • Add chopped uncooked bacon to the pan before roasting for a meaty, even more delicious side.
  • A squeeze of fresh lemon juice just before serving is so delicious!
  • A sheet pan or any form of rimmed baking sheet will work great.
  • Line the pan with aluminum foil or parchment paper to minimize dishes.
  • Drizzle the florets with soy sauce or balsamic vinegar before baking for a flavorful twist.
  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds just before serving for an added crunch.
