Orange Julius Recipe – Original Copycat!

This Orange Julius recipe tastes just like the famous original! Make this for a fun dessert for the kids or as a drink to enjoy on a hot summer day.

I just love copycat recipes. There is something magical about being able to reproduce a restaurant favorite, isn’t there? I’ve always been in love with the succulent Orange Julius, so I was elated to figure out how to recreate its deliciousness.

This recipe tastes just like the original. Close your eyes and pretend you’re standing next to the Dairy Queen sign and Orange Julius stand. I promise you won’t know the difference. Only 4 ingredients are required to make this sweet orange drink and the kids in your life will thank you.

HOW TO MAKE ORIGINAL ORANGE JULIUS RECIPE

Place the following ingredients in a blender:

  • Frozen orange juice concentrate
  • Water
  • Milk
  • Sugar
  • Vanilla
  • Ice cubes

Puree until smooth and serve immediately!

RECIPE NOTES FOR ORANGE JULIUS RECIPE

  • Add a few frozen strawberries for a punch of strawberry flavor.
  • Replace all or some of the sugar with honey, if desired.
  • Add up to 1 banana to the blender for an orange-banana treat.
  • Experiment with different frozen concentrates such as lemon or lime.
  • Try adding a handful of fresh spinach to make this a healthier treat.
