Every summer when it gets hot here in Minnesota, my boys start begging me for sugary drinks. I try to get as much water into their bodies as possible, but thirst-quenching kid drinks and summer go hand in hand.

Cherry Limeade is definitely a treat in our house, but every time I make it my boys act like addicts hanging out by the fridge. This is also a great drink option for a summer party. Make a huge batch and throw it in a gigantic bowl with a ladle!

    HOW TO MAKE CHERRY LIMEADE

    STEP 1

Add limeade concentrate, Squirt and cherries/juice to a large pitcher. Mix well and refrigerate until chilled.

    STEP 2

Pour into glasses half filled with crushed ice. Serve with lime wedges, if desired.

    RECIPE NOTES: CHERRY LIMEADE

    • Use 7up or Sprite in place of Squirt, if desired.
    • Use fresh cherries for topping if they are in season!
    • Don’t skip the chill time! Since ingredients are added to the pitcher when warm, it will need some time in the fridge before serving.
