Only a few ingredients are necessary to make a copycat Shamrock Shake recipe and they are probably already sitting in your kitchen!

copycat shamrock shakes lined up next to each other with chocolate drizzled over top and cherries

I remember two things about St. Patrick’s Day from my youth: 1. wearing green to avoid being pinched at school, and 2. Shamrock Shakes. A few years ago I remember saying to my boys, “Oooo! It’s Shamrock Shake season!” and they looked at me like I had antlers.

I could not BELIEVE I had not yet introduced them to the good ol’ delicious green shake of the Irish. Except, I’m pretty sure they don’t originate from Ireland. Another YUMMY manufactured American recipe for the books.

    VIDEO TUTORIAL

If you watch the above video through to the end, you’ll see just how much my cuties love homemade Shamrock Shakes. They are always a festive hit! And super duper easy to make. Like, done in the blink of a cute-little-boy eye.

    RECIPE NOTES: SHAMROCK SHAKE RECIPE

    • It is super fun and festive to top this shake with a few extras such as whipped cream, chocolate syrup and maraschino cherries.
    • If you have someone in your family who doesn’t care for mint (like I do), prepare as directed minus the extract. Stir the extract into individual glasses, as desired.
