    Why This Recipe Works

My affinity for all strawberry desserts makes it difficult to determine which is my favorite. This no bake strawberry pie recipe might be the one and here’s why:

    • Only 15 minutes of prep (and 2 hours chilling in fridge) required for this delicious pie!
    • Just 4 ingredients are required to make the filling (including fresh strawberries!) for this easy jello pie.
    • No oven needed!
    • You become the hero of the summer gathering every time you serve this no bake recipe.
    • It is a great make-ahead dessert recipe that’ll open up space on the day of the party!
    • It is the perfect dessert for a hot summer day.
    • This delicious dessert requires no baking!
    • Made without heavy cream or cream cheese.
    • Sugar free jello may be used in place of regular.

    Recipe Ingredients

Graham cracker crust – Quickly make your own homemade graham cracker crust OR purchase a store-bought graham cracker crust to make the recipe even easier.

Strawberry Jell-o – Jello brand gelatin or a generic variety all work great, as long as it is strawberry flavored.

Strawberries – Use fresh strawberries that are dark red in color. Remove the green leafy part from the top and slice.

Whipped topping – If you have just a few extra minutes, consider making your own homemade whipped topping with just a few ingredients!

How To Make No Bake Strawberry Pie with Jello

Make The Graham Cracker Crumb Crust

Crush graham crackers in a ziploc bag with the back of a wooden spoon or create graham cracker crumbs with a food processor.

Combine the graham crackers, sugar and butter in a medium bowl. Stir until crumbs are moist and press into the bottom of a 9- or 10-inch pie plate. Place in the refrigerator.

    Make The Strawberry Filling

In a medium saucepan, combine the cold water, sugar and corn starch. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce to a simmer and stir constantly until mixture has thickened, about 2 minutes.

Remove strawberry pie filling from the heat and add the gelatin. Stir until smooth and lumps are gone.

Remove the pie plate from the fridge and add the strawberries in an even layer to the prepared pie shell or premade graham cracker crust. Pour the gelatin mixture evenly over the top of the crust. Refrigerate the entire pie pan for a minimum of 2 hours.

    Top The Pie

Remove the delicious strawberry jello pie from the fridge and spread the thawed Cool Whip mixture over the top of the pie in an even layer. Top with fresh strawberries, if desired, cut and serve!

    Recipe Notes

    • Use a 9- or 10-inch pie plate for this recipe.
    • Refrigerate the pie until you’re ready to serve and wait until just before serving to add the strawberry slices to the top.
    • Don’t skimp on the 2-hour refrigeration time noted in the recipe card. You will want the pie to have that full time (or more) to completely firm up.
    • If serving this easy strawberry pie recipe on the Fourth of July, add fresh blueberries to the mix to create a red white and blue dessert.
    • Other fresh berries such as raspberries or blackberries can be used, as well.
    • For a gluten free recipe, create a gluten-free pie crust using GF graham crackers.
    • Experiment with different flavors of jello for an entirely new flavor combo. Try cherry, blue raspberry or orange jello with berries!

How To Make Homemade Whipped Cream

If desired, make your own version of Homemade Whipped Cream to top the pie with.

Can I Replace Fresh Strawberries with Frozen Strawberries

If you want to make this pie outside of strawberry season, substitute fresh strawberries with frozen keeping the following in mind:

    • Use unsweetened berries and keep the remaining filling ingredients the same.
    • Allow them to thaw completely before adding them to the pie.

    How To Store Strawberry Pie

Store no bake strawberry pie in the fridge for up to 5 days. Cover leftover pie tightly with plastic wrap or store in an airtight container for best results.

    FAQ About Strawberries

    Can strawberries be frozen?

Strawberries freeze very well. They can be frozen whole, sliced or crushed. To freeze whole or sliced strawberries, freeze in a single layer on a baking sheet for 20 minutes to avoid them sticking together in the freezer. Next transfer them to plastic freezer-safe bags and freeze for up to 6 months.

    Are strawberries good for dogs?

Dogs can safely eat strawberries, but in moderation since they contain natural sugars.

    Are strawberries berries?

Technically, strawberries are not actually berries. Berries are classified as fruit derived from single ovaries and strawberries do not fit the bill.

Hi Sop, that would be a different kind of pie but you can use strawberry filling.I haven’t tried it to know how many cans. Also, there’s a lot of great recipes out there with that version of strawberry pie you might check out.
