I am constantly preparing food in the summer months and I love it because it means we are spending time with PEOPLE! My dad’s side of the family requests this taco every year when we get together for our summer family reunion. It gets completely devoured within an hour (or less), no joke. We happen to be at this family reunion NOW, so guess what I’ll be making tomorrow. YUM!

HOW TO MAKE 7 LAYER TACO DIP
In a medium bowl, combine a can of refried beans and a packet of taco seasoning. Mix well. Spread the mixture evenly onto the bottom of 9×13 pan. In another medium bowl, combine an 8-ounce container of sour cream and 8 ounces of softened cream cheese. Mix until creamy. Spread the cream cheese sour cream mixture on top of the beans.
Top with a bunch of sliced green onions, salsa, chopped tomatoes, iceburg lettuce and shredded cheddar cheese. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Purchase taco seasoning packets at the grocery store or make your very own taco seasoning mix that has no filler ingredients! I have homemade taco seasoning on hand ALL THE TIME and throw it into a variety of recipes throughout the week.
Let your chopped tomatoes marinate in a few squirts of fresh lime juice before throwing them in the pan.
Add chopped avocados or a few spoonfuls of guacamole to the top of the dip just before serving!
If you want to make this a meaty dip, prepare a batch of homemade taco meat with some ground beef and add it to the very bottom of the pan before spreading the remaining layers on!

- 16 oz refried beans
- 2 tbsp taco seasoning
- 10 oz sour cream
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- 1 bunch green onions thinly sliced
- 16 oz salsa
- 2 med tomatoes chopped
- 1/2 head iceberg lettuce chopped
- 2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
