RECIPE NOTES FOR JUICY LUCY BURGERS

    • If you like a kick on your burger, add some pepper jack cheese to the middle of the ground beef.
    • Use a slice of American cheese cut into quarters and stacked to put in the centers. American is a great choice because it’s the perfect melting cheese.
    • One pound of ground beef isn’t quite enough to make four burgers, but 1 1/2 to 2 pounds works great.
    • Mix some ground red pepper into the ground beef instead for a spicy burger.
    • Dice up red or white onion and some cilantro, mix it into the ground beef for fresh flavor you won’t regret.
    • Thinly slice button mushrooms and saute them in a hot pan with olive oil until they are cooked through and caramelized. Then top them on your burger for an amazing dinner!
    • These can easily be made on the stove top in a cast iron skillet, as well.

The more cheese the better, I say! I’d like to bite right into one of these burgers. I bet the Worcestershire sauce really adds to the flavor!
