👩‍🍳 How To Cook Cabbage In The Instant Pot

Remove the outer leaves from the entire cabbage and use a sharp knife to chop your head of cabbage. Be sure to remove the core of the cabbage.

Pour the chicken broth (or water) into the Instant Pot.

Place the trivet inside the pot and stack the chopped cabbage on top.

Scatter the butter pats over the cabbage, then sprinkle your seasonings evenly across the top.

    ❓FAQs

    Can I use frozen cabbage?

Fresh works best, but frozen chopped cabbage can be used. Add 1 extra minute to the cook time.

How do I prevent mushy cabbage?

Don’t overcook. Five minutes on high pressure gives perfectly tender results.

    Can I double the recipe?

Yes! Use a larger Instant Pot and maintain the same cook time. Just don’t go past the max fill line.

Can I use this method for other vegetables?

Absolutely! You can pressure cook Brussels sprouts, kale, or collard greens the same way – just adjust timing slightly.
