This Orange Banana Smoothie is refreshing and delicious and packed with healthy ingredients. Great way to squeeze in a few servings of fruit and vegetables to start your day!

Throughout this stretch of winter sickness and super-funk, there have been two things that have made me happy on a daily basis: my boys and making cookies. I am on a ROLL with the cookies. My boys have been so funny about them. They’re getting really good at describing exactly what they enjoy or don’t enjoy about each one. They’d be great Top Chef judges!

I’ve had to exercise major restraint with all of the cookies moving through my kitchen. I limit myself to one per batch. A few get sampled by my boys and the rest go to other people. Even with restraint, my pants are becoming a little too tight, so I have started countering the sugar with tons of fruit and veggies and healthy smoothies!

I’m back on the smoothie train and I vow to never jump off it again. Smoothies are such an easy and yummy way to enjoy healthy food! How else can you get a six-year-old who HATES vegetables to gladly slurp down a cup of spinach?! Make an Orange Banana Smoothie and puree in some spinach of course!

This smoothie is my recent fave. I’ve made it a handful of times in the past few days and my boys and I always fight over the last drops. If you’re more of a berry smoothie lover, check out this Mixed Berry Smoothie! This Fruit and Spinach Smoothie is great, too!

Here’s to a great week for YOU!

    Healthy Kid Friendly Snacks

If you want a few other recipes you can count on that are delicious and that you can hand to your child, glad to know they are actually eating a (healthy) snack, then try my Easy Healthy Breakfast Muffins! They are great for on the go or as a snack in the middle of the day. I also recommend a Fruit Dip because what kid doesn’t like to dunk cut up fruit into a bowl of something!
