Sweet and Tangy Crockpot Chicken is easy and delicious and worthy of bookmarking! The sauce in this recipe is SO YUMMY! Let your slow cooker do the work for you!
Today was one of the most unique days I have experienced in a long time. Awesomely unique, I should clarify. It was a day spent 100% with my boys (LOVE these days) that involved no work, lots of different opportunities for fun, a family nap, running into people from totally different parts of our lives and a baby shower where we were able to spend time with cherished friends. It was a unique, awesome and exhausting day! We will all be falling asleep quickly and happily tonight. Ahhhh.
I hope the rest of you had a great start to your weekend, as well! To make it even better, I have a new recipe you can add to your rotation. This was a trial recipe and we LOVED it. It doesn’t always work that way with trials, but I will make this again. I based the sauce off of these Sweet and Tangy Pork Chops, which is an all-time favorite dinner of ours.
In a medium bowl, combine ketchup, beer, brown sugar, soy sauce, red pepper flakes and garlic salt.
Mix well and throw into a crockpot along with 4 to 6 chicken breast halves. Cook on Low for 7 hours. Remove the chicken and cover to keep warm. Pour the sauce into a medium saucepan and cook over medium heat for 30 minutes, or until it thickens. Pour over the chicken and serve with rice or noodles. This was soooo good with egg noodles and peas!
Thanks for reading, friends! Have a wonderful rest of your weekend.
