Introducing the aptly named crack brownies. WARNING: You will NOT want to stop eating these once you start. Great dessert option for parties!
Original post: January 2011 | Updated: February 2021
Have you ever tried crack? Yeah, me either. After eating these brownies, though, I feel like I would probably be less addicted to crack. I mean, how can that not be the case with brownies, peanuts, marshmallows, Reese’s peanut butter cups, chocolate, peanut butter and Rice Krispies all present in a single bite?!
HOW TO MAKE PEANUT BUTTER CUP CRACK BROWNIES
STEP 1
Coat a 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray. Mix and bake brownies according to package directions.
Remove from oven and top with the peanuts, peanut butter cups and marshmallows. Return to the oven and bake at 350 degrees for an additional 5 minutes, or until the marshmallows puff and brown and the chocolate begins to melt.
STEP 2
In a medium bowl, combine the chocolate chips and the peanut butter. Microwave on high for 1 minute and stir until creamy. Add the Rice Krispies and stir until completely coated.
Pour the chocolate-peanut butter mixture evenly over top of the brownies. Refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours before cutting into squares and serving.

FAQ ABOUT BROWNIES
Brownies can definitely be frozen. After baking, allow the brownies to cool to room temperature. Wrap them in plastic wrap, double wrap with aluminum foil and freeze.
Enjoy brownies warm out of the oven. If they last the day, store them in an air-tight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
If your batch of brownies sink in the middle, they have not been baked long enough. Pop them back into the oven in 5-minute increments until the middle comes back to life.

Made these for Easter and they were so good! Usually my friends tease me about my bad cooking, but they turned out so good that everyone was raving about them! Wish I had toasted the marshmallows a bit longer and gotten them toasty brown on the tops before added the krispies.
When I try to Pin this to Pinterest, no pictures show up 🙁

I made these for my high school jazz band, and I forgot to buy peanuts. So, I just mixed half of the creamy peanut butter with extra chunky peanut butter.

Hi Karla! These can be kept in the fridge or at room temp, depending on how you like them. If you want them to keep longer, fridge would be best. Otherwise, they are great on the counter, as well!

I am about to make these for Thanksgiving. After you refrigerate these and cut them, do you have to keep them refrigerated or can you leave them out because they've hardened already. I've made cake balls before and they've become kind of sweaty after I had them in the fridge and I don't want this to happen to these!! They look sooo good! Thank you for this! 🙂 Anyone know this answer?

I stumbledupon these today. I made them today. They were awesome and were a hit on the entire floor of my dorm. I left out the peanuts and subbed the mallows for fluff. I dont know if that is any better, I'll just have to make the original next time…… which is definitely a guarantee!
