When campfires are not an option, try making this S’mores Snack Mix to get that delicious trio of ingredients.

Does anyone else have kids who obsess over s’mores? I do and I can’t say I blame them. Who can resist marshmallows and gooey chocolate sandwiched between graham crackers?

I make this super easy snack often and store it in the fridge for snacking. It never lasts long and that may or may not be partially my fault. This is a great option for dessert or snacking any time of the year. Don’t limit it to just the summer months.

HOW TO MAKE S’MORES SNACK MIX

    STEP 1

Place a piece of wax paper on a large baking sheet. In a large bowl, combine:

    • Golden Grahams cereal
    • Tiny twist pretzels
    • Mini marshmallows
Layers of s'mores snack mix ingredients on parchment paper

Mix well and pour into an even layer over the wax paper.

    STEP 2

Pour chocolate chips into a small bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth. Drizzle over snack mix. Refrigerate for a minimum of 30 minutes.

Break into pieces, place in a large serving bowl and serve!

    RECIPE NOTES

    • Milk chocolate chips are preferred, but semi-sweet or white chips are tasty, too!
    • Add chopped peanut butter cups for a peanut butter twist!
    • Replace chocolate with M&M’s to skip the process of melting chocolate.

HOW TO STORE S’MORES SNACK MIX

Store this mixture in an air-tight container for a couple weeks at room temperature.

S’MORES SNACK MIX MAKES A GREAT GIFT

This makes a great little gift! It’s a perfect gift idea for someone you’re going to spend the day with or to send a long as a little gesture that you’re thinking of them.

Pick up a pint sized mason jar and load it up with the mixture. Place a gift tag on it and let them know you’ve been thinking of them.
