Why This Recipe Works
We do quite a bit of hosting and entertaining and one of the things I get hung up on is what drinks to serve guests. Any time I set out an array of juice boxes and water bottles, it’s like people feel they need to drink them until they’re gone.
Then we are left with empty containers spread around our house like hidden Easter eggs.
Making a batch of cranberry punch is super easy and definitely the way to go when larger crowds are involved. This eliminates decision fatigue and the trash-scattered-around-the-house problem.
It is also a more affordable way to serve drinks to your guests in 5 minutes total time of prep. This easy cranberry ginger ale punch recipe is the perfect drink to throw together for your upcoming holiday party!
Recipe Ingredients
Cranberry juice cocktail – Consider replacing a portion of the cranberry juice cocktail with other juices to change up the flavors! Pineapple juice will provide a tropical spin and lemonade offers a summer twist.
Frozen orange and limeade juice concentrates – Add the frozen juice directly from the freezer. This will keep the punch cold and eliminate the need to water it down with ice cubes.
Ginger ale – Use ginger ale for a non-alcoholic, kid approved drink. Replace a portion or all of the ginger ale with vodka, rum or tequila to make holiday punch with alcohol. Ginger beer can also be used as a substitution.
Lemon lime soda – Regular or diet soda will work great.
Garnishes – Fresh cranberries, orange slices or lime slices make the perfect, festive garnishes to leave floating in the punch bowl. Frozen cranberries may be used in place of fresh.
How To Make This Holiday Punch Recipe With Cranberry and Ginger Ale
In a large punch bowl, combine:
- Cranberry juice cocktail
- Frozen orange juice concentrate
- Frozen limeade concentrate
- Ginger ale (or vodka or rum)
- Lemon lime soda
Mix well.
Add ice cubes if desired to keep the punch cold. For a festive touch, add orange slices and fresh cranberries to the bowl. Serve immediately after mixing!
Recipe Notes
- Refrigerate the cranberry juice and lemon lime soda beforehand to keep it extra cold.
- Feel free to either omit the oranges and cranberries or replace them with different fruit. Any type of fruit will complement the drink well and will be a festive addition to your bowl.
- Consider adding an ice ring to the bowl to keep the mixture consistently cold.
- Prepare this for holiday parties or turn it into an easy Christmas punch. It will be well received on Thanksgiving day or New Year’s Eve, as well.
- If you don’t own a punch bowl, cut the recipe in half or thirds and combine ingredients in a large pitcher.
- Use a ladle or plastic cup to pour from the bowl into individual cups without making a mess.
- This makes a very large batch, providing 1 cup per person for up to 24 people.
- Creating an adult version? You can also replace a portion of the lemon-lime soda with champagne.
How To Make Holiday Punch With Vodka
In a large punch bowl, combine the cranberry juice with the orange and lime juice concentrates and Sprite, 7-Up or other lemon lime soda. Mix in up to 1 1/2 cups of vodka.

We love this Holiday Punch.. made it for our Friendsgiving and it was delicious. The kids could drink it and the adults could add a little vodka to their glasses. Perfect for everyone. Thank you for another amazing recipe. Definitely making it for Christmas too.

So glad to hear that, Susie. Customizing the same punch for everyone a little bit is nice too. Less individual purchases then too.
