A perfectly baked crust is topped with red pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese and a variety of delicious olives! This pizza is definitely meant for the olive-lovers of the world. Pile ‘em on and enjoy this perfectly salty and flavorful easy dinner!

    Why This Recipe Works

A few weeks ago I thought Pickle Pizza was my new favorite pizza, but I was wrong, ohhh so wrong. It’s a close second, next to this dreamy Olive Pizza that I wish someone would make for me every single day of my life. If you are an olive lover like myself, you absolutely must make this perfectly-salty olive pizza.

The combination of crust perfection and red pizza sauce and gooey mozzarella cheese and an assortment of olives is almost too much for my taste buds to comprehend. Make this for your next family movie night or maybe for a Super Bowl party. Don’t limit it to winter gatherings or meals, though. This is a great spring or summer party pizza, as well!

What Kinds of Olives To Use on Pizza

Olive Pizza will taste great with any variety of olive or a diverse mixture of a few different varieties. I use a combination of black, green and kalamata. Go crazy with the olives, whichever your favorites might be!

How Long To Cook Homemade Pizza

Depending on what type of dough you are using and how many toppings you’ve thrown on top of your pizza, a homemade pizza can take anywhere from 10-18 minutes to bake. Use your oven light!

For this particular recipe, start peeking in around the 15-minute mark (maybe a touch sooner) and look for a light golden crust. The cheese should also be completely melted uniformly over the entire surface of the pizza.

Homemade Pizza Sauce vs Store-Bought Sauce

Of course! Life is crazy and sometimes we just need things to be as simple as possible, so grabbing a jar of pizza sauce from the store is totally fine. If you have even a spare few minutes, though, try Homemade Pizza Sauce because the flavor will knock your socks off!

    What To Serve With Pizza

Pizza is great solo but if you are looking for a little something to serve on the side, go with a simple salad such as this Chopped Salad.

Breadsticks are also a great pizza side, served with a marinara sauce or butter garlic sauce. If you make pizza sauce for this recipe, place the remaining sauce back on the stove and let it simmer for an additional 20 minutes for a delicious marinara!

    Make The Best Homemade Pizza

    • If you’re up for it, I highly recommend making your own No Yeast Homemade Pizza Dough. It is super easy and is totally worth the tiny bit of effort required!
    • As long as you’re going homemade for the crust, you may as well make your own Homemade Pizza Sauce, too! It is super easy and will taste way better than anything you can find in the store.
    • The best cheeses to use on homemade pizza are mozzarella, provolone and cheddar.
    • Baking time for pizzas will vary by a bit, so use your oven light and start peeking in around the 15-minute mark. The crust will be a golden brown color when the pizza is done and the cheese will be melted uniformly all over the surface.
