Do you have deliciously fond memories of McDonald sauces? Here’s one you might remember and that has been shelved at the famous fast food spot. Delivering the McDonalds breakfast sauce recipe straight to your kitchen, so you can make this low carb recipe yourself using only 5 simple ingredients and in just 5 minutes.

    Why This Recipe Works

I have such great childhood memories of going to McDonald’s restaurants with my dad. Those happy meals truly made me happy. It’s funny the small tastes we fall in love with and carry with us throughout our lives.

One of those tastes for me is the McDonalds Breakfast Sauce that can literally be slathered over any food and contains the perfect flavors. Sadly, this delicious sauce has been discontinued from the popular fast-food chain, so all we’re left with are faint memories.

Or are we?! Since I’m such a homemade sauce fanatic, I thought I’d give this recipe a whirl myself and share it with you. I must say, it tastes like the real thing. This easy McDonald’s breakfast sauce recipe has the familiar and distinct flavor as the original and it can be made in no time.

The best part is that it tastes great when paired with more than just breakfast sandwiches. Scroll down for a list of ways to enjoy this secret, creamy sauce!

    Recipe Ingredients

Small colorful bowls of ingredients lined up on a white counter.

Mayonnaise – Use regular mayo for a more authentic flavor experience, but light mayo can be used to slim down the recipe.

Mustard – To stay as authentic as possible to the original taste of this recipe, use basic yellow mustard. Dijon mustard can be used as a substitution, but will alter the flavor slightly.

Steak sauce – Any variety will taste great, but I prefer the good old A1 steak sauce. If you really love this ingredient, you may add up to 1 tablespoon steak sauce.

Lemon juice – Freshly squeezed lemon juice tastes best.

Fresh dill weed – When possible, use fresh dill to give it that yummy, unique taste we all know and love. You may replace 1 tablespoon fresh dill with 1 teaspoon dried dill weed.

Salt – Any variety of salt works great.

Pepper – Use freshly ground black pepper for best results.

Can You Freeze Mayonnaise Based Sauces

Mayonnaise based sauces may be frozen, but the quality might diminish after thawing. Freezing them may cause a separation of the ingredients. The sauce will look different than it did when it went into the freezer and may have a lumpier texture, as well.
